RESISTANCE AS THE CONSEQUENCE

Drawing reference to Andrea Bowers’s artistic exploration of ecology, ecofeminism, climate activism, and civil resistance, event #2 of the RUNNING UP THAT HILL program will be held in the form of an art action, exchange, and discussion with activists from Hambacher Forst, an ancient forest located near Buir in North Rhine-Westphalia. “resistance as the consequence” will begin as an action in the Sculpture Garden at noon, with a follow-up discussion in the Sculpture Garden starting at 4 pm.

Admission is free, includes access to the Andrea Bowers exhibition, and is open to everyone. After the discussion from 4:00 to 5:50 pm, there will be a safe space specifically for FINT (female, intersex, non-binary, and transgender) people starting at 6:00 pm. Participation is by registration only, please register online at www.museum-abteiberg.de under “Events/Courses – Adults” or at the Museum reception desk on the day of the event. Due to the limited number of participants for the closed event after 6 pm, registration is required (please bring your registration confirmation to the event).
